again i go unnoticed

DISCLAIMER: The below poem is entirely JUST FOR FUN, please do not blame the poets for any unintentional criticisms towards people of any religion, occupation or species. (Instead we would appreciate if you would deem it laudable and applaud our undying love for our country.) READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

Singapore has big fat pores
Cos it eats so many Chips Mores
That it will tumble on the floor
And be divided forever more
But that is all just folklore
Oh Singapore, we all adore
She is mine, ours, yours
We love Singapore!

Singapore, our nation
We won't die of starvation
No more water deprivation
NEWater, our salvation
We just love television
But there are too many examinations
We will not practice discrimination
Especially towards Indians
See our desperation
For that, we have no hesitation
To increase our infatuation
For Singapore, our nation!

Singapore, our home
We will never walk alone
Those sharks, from whom we loan
Will reduce us to skin and bone
Stop stealing our phones!
Thieves, Singapore hones
Our loss, this we moan
Our failure, this we groan
Come now, lower your tones
This is a smoke-free zone!
No more ice-cream cones
For this is Singapore our home.

Quick send it in to the straits times/in magazine to be published. We the patriotic teens of this idiosyncratic red dot with The Equator as a faithful neighbour (who's been having moodswings lately, I must say, the weather's far from normal)

Don't laugh, really. It's not funny. Our fragile hearts will implode with your raucous laughter and all you'll see will be smoke billowing out of our ears for the next four hundred and sixty-seven days. We're just expressing our adoration for our wonderful nation. And we all believe that we have the potential to be world-renowned poets when we grow up.
