If The Fates Allow

This is Helsinki :)
15 Things I Learnt About Finland (since I can't give you 2005 Things, in memory of a good year)
1. The snow in Helsinki is of great likeness to wet soil aka mud due to overwhelming human presence. And snow DOES fall in snowflake-shaped flakes. (:
2. Santa Claus is fake. He sits in a room waiting for people to take photos with him. We paid about S$50 to have five postcard-sized photos with him. And they're all the same photos. According to a blackboard in his postoffice he has received about 1.5mil letters to date from all over the world. Kids, stop writing those letters! Do you really think he understands Korean?!
3. Reindeer stew makes me retch.
4. Snowmobiles probably contribute to about one-fifth of the pollution in the country. (note: this is an assumption)
5. Snowmobiles are fun. But not when you are nuts at driving though (my mum ran into a tree and a professional helped her run OVER it, literally)
6. Husky sleds are cruel. The howling sounded a lot like screaming to me. Didn't try riding the sled cos I'm a very nice person. And because a fire in a hut looked nicer to be with.

7. Coniferous trees are so abundant that if I lived in the countryside I could just walk out my door and decorate the nearest tree for Christmas.
8. Icebreaker cruises are great fun. I swam in the middle of Gulf of Bothnia in the winter. Rather, I floated in an oversized orange rubber suit.

This is proof.

9. Turku is a very nice town. I love Turku. Translated: I did most of my shopping in Turku.
10. Eyecandy is good medicine but has a not-so-good aftertaste. (note that this statement is very easy to misunderstand so please tread carefully :D)

11. A fellow equal social-class-ed (ahem) family to shop, gossip and make inside jokes with was one of the best things about the trip.
12. MTV Europe is love during the nights. Aside from the 2million times they played Hung Up, which became the terror of all terrors.
13. Life is shit without music. I need a charger for the nano.
14. Life is good without ________.
15. I am all ready to gsjktoirshjo F**n**r for delaying our 2350 flight on the 31st December, which equated to spending the first minute of 2006 impatient and frustrated.

Picture perfect Estonia (:
5 Things I Learnt About Estonia (we stopped by on the last day)
1. Customs are horrible. I will pummel all future Estonian customs check-in personnel because they visit MSN and maybe even CHAT online while checking-in people. And the speed at which they type names can be compared to two certain shelled creatures, one scaly and one slimy.
2. Beautiful medieval place which saw a red-faced, sniffing and freezing me. And reminded me of Italy!

3. THEY HAVE GREEN ROSES x 5482540928608262
4. They have nice boots but no one is allowed to talk about this anymore cos I will start screaming and whining and insisting that you bring me back there for free and you don't want that do you
5. Their parliament house is pink.
Alright, off to dinner now at Crystal Jade and I'm fricking late so GOODBYE. More photos+captions when I get home.
P/S I will hate 2006
