Where We Can Be Free
I am officially a Trainee Guide at Singapore Botanic Gardens. Haha! Funny. It's going to be real tough remembering all the information on the various species in SBG (about 10,000 altogether but obviously I'm not required to describe every fungi and epiphyte species) and answering all the weird questions posed by the explorers. I think I need to remember a bit of plant Biology like the plant reproductive system and adaptation. OH THE HORROR!!! But it's interesting cos it's all about environmental conservation and those who know me well, know that I'm all for that.

This is the foliage of the Indian banyan tree which is scarily immortal and very very interesting. DAMN NICE RIGHT

And this is a strangling fig which is a cool fig because it well, strangles. Haha it's damn cool, somewhere in this scary mangled scene is a poor old tree that got the living daylights sucked out of it by the fig. OK I SOUND LIKE SOME PSYCHO NOW but well get used to it. I'm a NATURE GUIDE!!!!!
Okay going a bit crazy there. So anyhow after all that I went to meet Sherwin cos we are both Bored and have absolutely nothing to do now that we're Unemployed. Followed her like a dog to look for her mum's Mother's Day gift and I should totally marry into her family cos her mum LOVES WHAT I PICKED OUT HEHHHH. Then we splurged on some steamboat at Bugis that turned distasteful after a while cos we spammed too many ball-y and processed food items. Hardiharhar but a two-person steamboat experience is still coolio potato la huh.

The steamboat! (:
And today was both Mothers' Day and my dad's birthday so I got them couple pillows! HAHA. So cute I want to keep them for myself.

And we had a buffet at Conrad Hotel and I was so full my stomach was so huge I seemed pregnant. The dessert was really good even though the souffle was super tasteless and I waited 10 minutes for it!!! And even though I accidentally broke one of the cookie jars cos I dropped another lid on it. Oops. Fortunately and surprisingly as stingy as Singaporean companies are, we didn't have to pay for it. According to the chef serving us, it was "just glass" and "most importantly I didn't get hurt" How nice (:
